Polymarket Profit Is Shown Before Fees: We Checked 15 Wallets

The profit on your Polymarket profile does not take out the fees. In 14 of 15 wallets it matched the figure before fees. What it means for your month.

Where do I find my name or address?
  1. In Polymarket tap your avatar (top right) → Settings.
  2. Open Profile. The Address field is it: 0x plus 40 letters and digits. Tap the copy icon.
  3. Or just type your Polymarket name (@name), or paste your profile link: polymarket.com/@name or /profile/0x… both work.

Not the address under Deposit → Transfer crypto. That is a funding address, a different one, and it shows no trades.

The short answer

The profit or loss on your Polymarket profile is counted before fees. Since Polymarket’s exchange update of 28 April 2026, the fee on an instant trade is charged on top, in dollars, and the profile figure does not take it out. So a profile can show a profit while the month, after fees, is a loss.

To see your own month after fees, type your Polymarket @name or paste your profile address into the free check above.

What we checked

Polymarket’s public data now gives two profit figures for every wallet: one before fees and one after them, plus the fees paid. We took 15 wallets checked on polyfees and compared the change on the profile over 30 days with both figures, for the same days.

In 14 of the 15, the profile matched the figure before fees. Some of the matches are not exact because open bets are valued a little differently, but none was close to the figure after fees. Six examples, 30 days to 11 October 2026, in whole dollars:

WalletProfile showsBefore feesAfter feesFees
0x98a1…1c2e−$1,424−$1,433−$4,845$3,412
0xafef…f50e+$9,933+$9,585+$149$9,436
0x41e8…ac4c−$258−$267−$1,529$1,262
0x43fb…33cb−$4,409−$4,409−$4,775$366
0x95c6…1508+$273,707+$273,722+$266,589$7,133
0xe8a3…fe98+$33+$33+$10$24

Look at the second row. The profile shows +$9,933 for the month. After $9,436 in fees, the same month is +$149.

The same holds for the all-time figure. On 12 October 2026 the profile of the first wallet in the table showed +$4,520.98 in total; after $5,279.98 in fees, it is −$759.00.

Why the profile leaves fees out

Polymarket counts profit from share prices: what a share cost and what it is worth now or paid out. Before the update of 28 April 2026, the fee was taken in shares, so it was inside that count. Now you get all your shares and the fee is charged on top in dollars (Polymarket help). Polymarket’s own data describes the cost of a position as “excluding entry fees”, and lists fees paid as a separate number (Polymarket data documentation).

Money Polymarket pays back, such as part of the fee and rewards for limit orders, is not in the profile figure either. It comes as separate daily payments.

What it means for your month

  • The profile looks better than your money. The gap is exactly the fees you paid in the period.
  • The gap is biggest for traders who buy instantly and often. On 5-minute crypto markets the fee is about 2.95% of the money bet for a typical wallet (what we saw in 38 wallets); with limit orders that wait for their price it can be close to zero.
  • A small profit on the profile can be a loss. If the fees are larger than the profit shown, the month after fees is negative.

The free check shows three lines for the last 30 days: what Polymarket shows, the fees to the cent, and your month after fees. More on what else is inside the profile number: why your Polymarket profit is different.

Questions

Is the profit on my Polymarket profile before or after fees?

Before fees. We checked 15 wallets on 11 October 2026 against Polymarket’s own profit data, and in 14 of them the profile matched the figure before fees. The fee on an instant trade is charged on top in dollars and is not taken out of the profile figure.

How do I see my profit after fees?

Take the profile figure for a period and subtract the fees you paid in the same period. Polymarket shows fees per trade but no total; the free check above adds them up for the last 30 days and shows your month after fees.

Does the profile include the money Polymarket pays back?

No. Fee returns and rewards come as separate daily payments and are not in the profile figure.

Was it always like this?

No. Until the exchange update of 28 April 2026 the fee was taken in shares, so it was already inside the profit count. Since then it is charged in dollars on top.
