The short answer
Polymarket returns part of the fee you pay on instant buys. Polymarket calls it the taker rebate. How much comes back depends on your level, from 3% at Bronze to 50% at Obsidian. The level is set by the last 30 days of instant buys, counted in a special way: cheap shares and crypto markets count for more.
The free check above shows what Polymarket actually paid back to your wallet in the last 30 days, next to the fees you paid. The full report adds our estimate of your level.
The levels
| Level | Counted buys in 30 days | Part of the fee returned | One-time bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze | $2,000 | 3% | $10 |
| Silver | $20,000 | 8% | $50 |
| Gold | $200,000 | 18% | $250 |
| Platinum | $1,000,000 | 32% | $1,500 |
| Diamond | $4,000,000 | 44% | $7,500 |
| Obsidian | $10,000,000 | 50% | $25,000 |

How your buys are counted
Only instant buys in markets with fees count. Each one counts as:
amount × (1 − price) × market weight
- Market weight: sports 1, politics, finance, tech and mentions 1.3, economics, culture, weather and other 1.7, crypto 2.3, geopolitics 0.
- A $100 buy at 50¢ on a sports market counts as $50. The same buy on a crypto market counts as $115. A $100 buy at 90¢ on sports counts as $10.
So a trader who buys cheap shares on crypto markets reaches a level much faster than one who buys favourites in sports.
What it means in real money
- The part returned is a share of the fee, not of your bet. At Silver, a sports bet of $100 at 50¢ pays a $2.50 fee and gets 20¢ back.
- Most traders are at the lower levels. Of the 64 wallets we checked with at least $20 in fees, by our estimate 32 were around Bronze, 18 around Silver and 1 around Gold. The money actually paid back was typically 3–4% of their fees.
- Only trades after you reach a level count. Nothing is paid back for earlier trades.
- Payments are daily, from $1, and they are not in the profit figure on your profile.
Is it worth chasing a level?
That is your call, and we do not give betting advice. One thing to keep in mind: the fee is paid in full on every instant buy, and only a part of it comes back. A limit order that waits for its price pays no fee at all and earns a share of other traders' fees, but some limit orders never trade.
Questions
How do I see my level?
Polymarket shows it in its own rewards section. Our free check shows what was actually paid back in the last 30 days; the full report adds our estimate of the level from your trades.
Do sells count?
No. Only instant buys in markets with fees.
Why is my estimated level different from what I got?
Levels change day by day as the 30-day window moves, and only trades made after reaching a level are paid. So a month can mix several levels.
