Three public wallets, addresses hidden, each over the 30 days before 15 October 2026. Fees from Polymarket’s own public records, to the cent; the app’s part checked against Polymarket’s data for each app.
The short answer
On three public wallets that traded through an app, the app took 21%, 39% and 55% of everything the wallet paid in fees in 30 days. The app’s fee is a fixed share of each trade, while Polymarket’s fee shrinks as the price nears $1, so the app can take more than Polymarket itself.

The three wallets
| App, its fee | Fees in all | To Polymarket | To the app | App’s share |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PolyCop, 0.5% | $9.39 | $7.39 | $2.00 | 21% |
| Bagel, 1% | $184.59 | $112.94 | $71.65 | 39% |
| MetaMask, 4% | $1,383.95 | $628.10 | $755.85 | 55% |
The app’s fee is charged on buys and on sales, so it is counted against all fees, not against the money bet.
What it did to each month
- PolyCop wallet (52 finished bets, mostly soccer during the game). Polymarket shows +$20.50 for the month. After $9.39 in fees, the result is +$11.11. PolyCop’s $2.00 is part of those fees.
- Bagel wallet (41 finished bets, NBA and soccer before the start). Polymarket shows +$351.97. After $184.59 in fees, the result is +$167.38; $71.65 of the fees went to Bagel.

“Polymarket shows” is the 30-day figure Polymarket gives for the wallet, before fees. Neither figure includes money Polymarket pays back.
Why an app can take more than Polymarket
Polymarket’s fee is shares × rate × price × (1 − price): largest at 50¢, small near $1. An app’s fee is the same share of the trade at any price. On crypto markets at 80¢, Polymarket takes 1.4% of the trade, and a 4% app takes almost three times that. On the MetaMask wallet, the app’s part was larger than Polymarket’s.
What 30 apps charge, measured on 15 October 2026: Polymarket app fees, from 0 to 4%. How the two fees work: trading through an app or bot.
How common it is
Of the 256 wallets we checked that traded on Polymarket’s current exchange, 30 used an app (checked by 15 October 2026, each over the 30 days before its check). Many apps add nothing: 14 of the 30 most used apps had no fee of their own.
Questions
How much does a Polymarket bot or app take?
It depends on the app: from nothing to 4% of each trade, on top of Polymarket’s fee. On three real wallets, the app took 21%, 39% and 55% of all fees paid in 30 days.
How do I see what my app took?
Type your @name or paste your address into the free check. If you traded through an app, the receipt shows Polymarket’s part and the app’s part apart.
Is the app’s fee in my Polymarket fee total?
Yes. Each trade’s public record has one fee number with both parts in it, and Polymarket’s fee total for your account includes it.
